Product Introduction

Pan head screws are designed with a choice between a slot and a cross slot for installation using an electric screwdriver. When using an electric screwdriver, the cross slot is generally preferred. These screws are primarily made from iron and stainless steel materials. The iron screws are available in low carbon, medium carbon, and high carbon steel variations, while the stainless steel screws are made from stainless steel 201, stainless steel 304, and stainless steel 316.
The thread tolerance for pan head screws is 6G. In terms of mechanical properties, the iron pan head screws are available in 4.8 and 8.8 grades. The 4.8-grade screws are made of ordinary steel and have a maximum allowable hardness of 255HV. On the other hand, the 8.8-grade screws are typically manufactured using wire rod 10B21, followed by a hydrogen removal process after hardening treatment.
There are also various surface treatment options available for pan head screws, including blue and white zinc, color zinc, black zinc, and white nickel, among others. These treatments can enhance the appearance and corrosion resistance of the screws.
In short, pan head screws come with different slot options for installation and are commonly made from iron or stainless steel materials. They have specific thread tolerances and mechanical properties depending on the grade. Additionally, there are several surface treatment choices to enhance their appearance and corrosion resistance.
